Welcome to another fantastical week of Best Comic Book Covers of the Week. As you may know from reading the title of this, each week, the Comic Vine staff goes out to a karaoke bar, and each of them takes their turn singing their favorite Shaggy song. At some point, during the evening, we mention what comic book covers we liked in the past week. So, here's our compiled list for the week of November 15th.

CAPTAIN AMERICA LIVING LEGEND #3 Variant by Mike Allred

First in our line of covers is the awesome piece by Mike Allred. It's the variant cover to the mini-series CAPTAIN AMERICA LIVING LEGEND #3. It harkens back to the sillier days of Silver Age covers where anything was possible, including Captain America's shield attacking him. The coolest thing about this cover is the use of color because it's made to look like it's been sitting in a long box for 40 years. The whites, aside from the barcord, look weathered. It was one of our favorites from this list.

BATMAN #25 Variant by Alex Garner

Next up is another variant cover. We have BATMAN #25 by Alex Garner. The set up for the cover is very cool as well as the perspective. We're always a sucker for a skull on a cover as well, one not covered in flesh, that is. The colorwork is fantastic as well. He does great with showing his light source and how it hits Batman's cape.

BATGIRL #25 by Alex Garner

Don't tell anyone, but this is my personal favorite cover from this past week. Here is BATGIRL #25 by Alex Garner. The overall piece is very appealing t look at, but it's the smaller things about this piece that set it apart. The way the rain hits Barbara looks extremely cool, and I loved how the bats are all a little blurry to show that they're moving around pretty quickly.

AVENGERS ARENA #17 by Francesco Francavilla

Look! Another Francesco Francavilla cover as made out list! What got us (me) so excited about this week's cover of AVENGERS ARENA #17 was probably that it was filled with tons of the color pink. That's not all, obviously. The cover is a great depiction of the overall idea of AVENGERS ARENA, and when was the last time you remember seeing cardboard cutouts of the characters within the book?

UNITY #1 by JG Jones

UNITY #1 had a TON of variant covers this week. Most of them were pretty dang cool, but this cover by JG Jones really stood out. What makes it the best of the lot is really how the whole cover is set up. We get to see the Unity team, but the behind Aric perspective is what makes it stand out. It almost makes you feel like you're right behind the guy, floating down with him.

SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN #5 by Steve Lieber

Lastly, we have the cover to SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN #5 by interior artist Steve Lieber. There's a few things that really make this a stand out piece to us. The fact it's a solid color background isn't something we see too much anymore, and we really like Lieber's choice to keep it like that. Also, we get to see all the characters of this book within Boomerang's boomerangs.

Well, there you have it. There's our choices for the best comic covers of the week! Let us know what you guys think in the comment section below and let us know what you LOVED! See you next week!

Mat "Inferiorego" Elfring stayed up real late recording his podcast and then tweeting about it. He also loves Shaggy.
