During the phase three announcement today, Marvel Studios announced a date for Doctor Strange on the big screen. Although it's gone through pre-production-Hell for years Doctor Strange will be releasing on November 4, 2016.
Stephen Strange was one a gifted surgeon, but after a car accident, Strange's hands were mangled. No doctor could fix his hands. Strange sought out the Ancient One who he thought could fix them. The Ancient One wouldn't help him, but Strange discovered mysticism and eventually became one of Marvel's most powerful mystic heroes.
Yesterday it was announced that Benedict Cumberbatch is in final talks to play the titular role of Doctor Strange in the film. Scott Derrickson will be directing the film and Jon Spaihts is penning the script.
Just another huge announcement coming from the Marvel.
