
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 is set to return to ABC on September 23rd at 9/8C. The Hollywood Reporter stated that Hayley Atwell, who plays Agent Peggy Carter, and George Stephanopoulos (Good Morning America, House of Cards), p[laying himself, will be appearing in the season premiere of the show.
The episode is titled "Shadows," and in it, Agent Coulson and what's left of S.H.I.E.L.D., after the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, are doing what they can to keep the world safe.
Carter's appearance will make way for the ABC show Agent Carter, which will be a bridge over the holiday break. The premiere date has not been announced yet.
