Each week we take a close look at a comic book collectible. That means taking it out of the package. This week we're finally taking a look at one of the Greg Capullo DC Comics Designer Series figures -- Talon.

There are four figures in this line. Besides Talon, you can get Batman, Nightwing, or Riddler, all designed by Greg Capullo and sculpted by Jonathan Matthews.
I'm a fan of the package for these. Compared to figures that come on blister packs, the package can easily get bent or the figure might even get damaged. You also get some art on the side.

These figures from DC Collectibles are pretty solid. The detail is great. This figure comes with a few accessories. There's a Court of Owls mask, two daggers, and two swords. It looks like he has a bunch of throwing knives as well but they're not removable.
EDIT: The throwing knives actually are removable. They're packed into their sheathes pretty tightly but they do come out!
Who are the Talons? Obviously if you're not sure, you can just visit the wiki page here. Basically they're the assassins for the Court of Owls, a secret and powerful organization that gave Batman quite the run for his money.

The detail in the mask and even the Court of Owls emblem is pretty cool.

Check out his arms. It's nice seeing some variation without the figure having perfect symmetry.

What you do with the mask is a bit of a mystery. All I could think was to either have him hold it or just set it down.
He comes with two daggers and one can go in a scabbard on his side.

You have some options with this figure in what weapon you want him to hold. With both daggers, you can put him in different positions.

Then there's his swords. With both sitting on his back, it's a cool look. But of course taking them out makes him look pretty deadly as well.

Overall, it is a cool figure. There's plenty of articulation. It stands at 6 3/4" and looks great. The only minor problem I have is because of the design of his head and it not being able to move, sometimes he looks a little stiff.
It does look good with one of your Batman figures.

Is this the end for Batman? Of course not!
You can probably find this figure at your local comic shop or you can order it directly from DC Collectibles and have it delivered to your home without having to step foot outside. Just click HERE. Similar to the other DC Collectibles figures, this retails for $24.95 and ships within a day.
Let us know what you think of this figure, especially if you already have one.
And here's one more shot because I really liked the way it came out.
