Marvel announced today that Ultimate Spider-Man is returning to television in a new season on Sunday, August 31st at 9AM ET. What makes this so important is that this new season of "Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors" is that a lot of new heroes and villains will be appearing in this upcoming season, including Miles Morales, the current Spider-Man in the Ultimate Universe. This season will be told in a multiple-episode story arc to give it the "Marvel movie feel."
The image for the upcoming season also shows Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Ham, and fan favorite Spider-Man Noir among other versions of everyone's favorite web-head. Marvel's Head of Television, Jeph Loeb had this to say about the upcoming season:
"We're telling the biggest stories in Marvel animation through our new season of 'Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors. First Spidey joins the Avengers and then travels to places never before seen in Marvel Animation. More importantly, we're excited about introducing a new group of Marvel characters to fans and families."
Also confirmed to show up in this season are Agent Venom, a new Iron Spider Amadeus Cho, Cloak& Dagger, and Ka-Zar. The new season of "Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors" will appear on Disney XD on Sunday, August 31st at 9AM ET.
