Each week we spotlight some of our favorite covers from the week's new releases. This week we had an especially good time sifting through our pile of funny books and choosing our favorites -- in fact, we don't think we've seen a week of this many great looking covers in quite some time! Check them out for yourselves below and let us know which ones were your favorite this week.

First up is the cover to HOUSE OF GOLD & BONES by artist Jason Shawn Alexander. The cover is beautifully painted and very rough, illustrated in a way unlike many of the books we've seen. This one is definitely a head-turner.

Next up is the very cool cover to BATMAN AND BATGIRL #21 by artistic team Patrick Gleason and Mick Gray. The two artists team up to give us one very creative cover featuring Batgirl as a blinded Lady Justice, balancing both Batman and Robin on her scales. The image is pretty thought provoking and definitely one of the better covers from this week.

BATWOMAN #21 by J.H. Williams is next on our list, and as usual the artist-slash-writer delivers and doesn't disappoint in the least bit. The cover is simply beautiful (which is generally par for the course when we talk about Williams), although this one was really very impressive. The artist captures what seems to be a moment in time halted, and he does so really beautifully.

The covers to CONAN: THE BARBARIAN #17 have been very good recently, and this one by artist Massimo Carnevale is no different. There's a certain level of fluidity in the colors used to depict Conan, and the sweeping linework makes this one one of our favorites.

The cover to FABLES #130 by artist Barry Kitson is definitely impressive. Kitson, who has worked on both FAIREST as well as SPIDER-MAN, is the guest artist this week and he does a fabulous job illustrating a really beautiful (albeit creepy and a little bit eerie).

Last, but certainly not least, is the cover to THUNDERBOLTS #11 by artist Julian Totino Tedesco. The close up on Elektra is really visually breathtaking and and just plain beautiful.

These are some of our picks for this week, what were some of your favorites? If there is a cover that you absolutely loved that didn't make our list be sure to share it with us below!
