Paul Allor's first TMNT limited series, TMNT: UTROM EMPIRE, concluded the other day, and now IDW has announced the writer will team-up with Erik Burnham (SECRET HISTORY OF THE FOOT CLAN) for another Ninja Turtles mini-series! The big announcement is yet another way the publisher is celebrating the franchise's 30th anniversary.
Coming this June (and with a title that is sure to give video game fans some nostalgia), the heroes in a half shell are going to venture through time and come face-to-face with samurai warriors, dinosaurs, and pirates in an effort to prevent a bleak future. Each issue will have a cover by artist David Peterson and the first issue's interiors will be done by Northampton artist Ross Campbell. Co-writer Erik Burnham explained why he's stoked to work on this title. “I love time travel stories, and I love seeing the Turtles outside of their comfort zone. So basically, this is the most fun I've had in the TMNT sandbox yet!” Paul Allor also shared why he's thrilled about this series. "I am so excited for this story! I'm blown away by the artists we have lined up, and I truly think readers are going to love this wild, rip-roaring journey through time."
